INSTALLATIONS
Walter & Zoniel’s large scale installations utilise surrealism and playfulness to engage participants. Their public artwork practice was born from a desire to make art more accessible as they believe that 'art is for everyone'.
Each of their public installations powerfully uses the tools of play, joy, mischief, surrealism, as access points for participants and viewers.
The artists use the act of play as a means to address deeper subject matter. They believe that through the act of engaging with play, participants become part of the artwork and this in turn empowers them in their relationship with art as a whole.
