Reflecting The Bright Lights is a work consisting of 50 Ambrotypes shot directly onto glass using a hand built giant, room-sized camera.
Walter & Zoniel built the WZBOX camera themselves and invited their peers to sit for them, capturing a moment in time across the board of those that they found inspirational. Sitters chosen span from actors, writers and musicians, to a young politician and even an astronaut.
In a Warholian act of documentation, the artists created the RTBL series to make a snapshot of the time of a young London creative scene. Pairing this with one of the rare photographic mediums that will not fade or decay (as it is a stable chemical reaction and not on paper), they poetically captured in idealism forever.
